1. Overview

Installation Note: Edge profiles must be specified before fabrication. Post-fabrication edge changes require re-polishing the entire slab face and are rarely cost-effective.


4. Seam Treatment (拼接缝处理)

4.1 Seam Placement Principles

  1. Avoid placing seams directly in front of the sink or cooktop.
  2. Minimize the number of seams — ideally one per continuous run.
  3. Locate seams at natural break points (e.g., at a corner or between cabinet sections).
  4. Never place a seam within 150 mm of a sink cutout edge.

Critical: Always use the manufacturer's template or the actual sink for tracing. Subtract 3-5 mm from the template for undermount installations to account for the mounting rim.

5.3 Cutout Execution

  1. Place template on underside of countertop; trace with pencil.
  2. Drill four 10 mm starter holes just inside the traced corners.
  3. Use a jigsaw with a diamond or carbide blade to cut along the line.
  4. Sand cut edges with 200-grit diamond pad.
  5. For undermount: install clips or epoxy brackets per sink manufacturer.
  6. Apply a bead of food-safe silicone caulk between sink rim and countertop.
  7. Allow silicone to cure 24 hours before connecting plumbing.

6. Installation Process
